Smart CCTV has a range of specialised smart cameras which can be used in both permanent installations and temporary installations like roadworks.

A key advantage in our technology, especially for temporary installations, is that the image processing is done within the camera, so only the data relating to the number plate (which is usually encrypted and / or anonymised), a location ID and the time and date stamp needs to be transmitted allowing cost-effective GPRS mobile telephony technology to be used for data transmission.

The camera includes IR illumination and our solution includes both data and “heartbeat” information over the communications link.
