Historically ANPR systems have had to be fixed to a specific location, this is due to the need to connect the camera(s) to a PC which undertakes the image processing. In addition the PC requires a mains power supply drawing in the region of 7.2KW hours per day.

ANPR Dolly releases you from the constraints of a single location; communicating over G3 / GPRS mobile telephony infrastructure and battery powered, it is deployable anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

Applications Include:

Automated Traffic Surveys – improved accuracy, ability to survey at night and reduce health and safety issues caused by roadside working.

Car park surveys – what is the average length of stay? How many vehicles have been parked for more than x minutes?

Car “Shopping” identification, where vehicles cruise around car parks with the occupants looking for specific vehicles to steal to order

De-Moorage - commercial vehicles late in leaving loading / unloading facilities

Journey Time Analysis and average speed information.

Sector Speed control on large commercial and academic sites

Temporary Access Control

ANPR Dolly is easy to set up at the road side, its industrial design ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding environments, and its ability to work both during the day and at night allows you to extend the range of time you are able to carry out operations.

ANPR Dolly comes in two variants:

Overt: this uses a very near infra red illumination system. This appears as a dull red flash to the driver and warns him / her that their number plate has been captured. This illumination system is preferred in access control, sector speed control, and security applications where you are trying to deter an unwanted action.

Covert: this uses a longer range infra red illumination system which is invisible to the driver. This illumination solution is preferred in applications like journey time and traffic analysis where it is important not to distract the driver.

ANPR Dolly can interface with a wide range of database applications. Many of these have web based interfaces allowing access to the data both from your office and while you are on the road via PDA's and Smart mobile telephones.
