The enumeration of traffic surveys, both at the roadside or via recorded video, is an expensive and often inaccurate process.

Smart CCTV has developed a range of video traffic survey techniques using our own specialised cameras, or processing video from standard CCTV camera via computers to automate the counting process.

This makes it possible to cost-effectively enumerate surveys longer than the standard 12 hours (7 days at 24 hours per day is a common automatic survey period) to provide more representative data sets.

We have developed solutions for enumerating road demand, journey times, advising on the need for enforcement cameras and for estimating the amount of pollution created at a junction.
